Contour ThreadLift vs Mini Facelift

Many years ago, if you asked a plastic surgeon for a procedure that would make your face appear younger, you would always be offered a full facelift. Now it is possible to get much of what a facelift accomplishes in a shorter procedure, with minimal recovery and minimal anesthesia. Pure threadlifts though have fallen out of favor with most surgeons due to the lack of longevity of the result. In my practice most of these cases are undergoing a short-recovery mini-facelift with great results. The scar that is left is usually minimal, pain is unusual and the recovery less than a week. Patients are generally thrilled with the change that they can accomplish with a relatively small procedure!

The mini-facelift takes only about 45 minutes.   Our patients almost never complain of any pain at all! Most however, choose to hide for 5 - 8 days. During this time there may be some swelling and black-and-blue. Makeup can be applied after 72 hours and normal activity can be resumed at seven days.
