First of all, congratulations on your weight loss. That's a tremendous accomplishment!
There is no way to eliminate that extra skin other than surgically. The skin has not only stretched, but when skin has been "expanded" for a significant time period, new skin is actually grown to fill in. While weight loss will shrink fat cells, the new skin that has grown will remain. Therefore, contrary to popular belief, it is not a question of the skin contracting back to it's former, smaller size, but instead a problem of extra skin that you don't need.
The only downside to removing the extra skin is an extensive and permanent scar. This is usually less objectionable than the unsightly shape that many people have with the extensive hanging skin! Each potential patient, however, should look at pictures of patients that have had similar procedures and make the decision for themselves.
Hope that this is helpful... Dr. Studin

I had subpectoral breast implants placed this past November. My physician told me that there was no need for massage. He said it was unessesary, so, I never massaged them. The problem I am having is that the left side is very firm, and causes me pain intermittently. It is also larger than the right side. The implants are still up very high, and dont look right. My breast were slightly saggy pre-op, I breastfed both my children. Now, the implants are way up there, and my breasts sag at the bottom. They look real bad. I am going to see my surgeon Tues about this. What should I expect from him, is he to blame for the firmness, in not telling me to massage them? Should he have done a lift, along with the augmentation? I am a RN, I checked him out thouroughly, he has a great reputation, all the right credentials. If this is capsular contracture, if i have surgery to remove the capsules, will they most likely come back? Should I try over the muscle this time? I would appreciate any advice you could give. Maureen

Have you heard anything about a new breast enlargement pill? Rumor has it - requires no surgery and enlargements are permanent. Is there such a thing? If yes, please forward information. Thank you for you time.
