Laser Hair & Vein Removal
Unwanted hair concerns a surprisingly large percentage of Men and
Women. Creams, electrolysis, waxing, tweezing, shaving and other things have
been tried for decades. All have proven to be either painful, inconvenient or ineffective.
Laser hair removal was developed in an attempt to create a painless and
permanent method for removing unwanted hair. While it is a very successful
technique that patients are happy with, it is not yet permanent.
With our Cool Touch Laser, a cooling head protects the skin while the Laser
light passes through it to be absorbed by the hair follicle. This is not very
uncomfortable, feeling almost like a small rubber band snap.
About 30% of our hair follicles are actively growing at any given time. Only
these are treated effectively. That is why with any Laser Hair Removal, multiple treatments are needed.
Usually 3-6 treatments will result in a long term clearance of about 85-90%
of the hairs. In most cases the hairs that grow back are thinner and more
sparse. Treatments are repeated as needed.
This procedure can be done on a lunch break and requires no recovery.
Laser Vein Removal
Spider Veins can be a very unsightly problem. While larger veins
are injected, spider veins can now be removed with a flash of Laser Light.
All areas can be treated during one session, but more than one
session is usually required to accomplish complete removal.
Slight bruising or discoloration can occur afterwards, but
usually clears in a few days.
The procedure requires no anesthesia or recovery time and can be done during
a lunch hour.
