I thought dark circles were due to a thinning of the skin, and the darkness is from the exposure to the underlying muscle. Is this correct and how can a laser alleviate the darkness? A dermatologist e-mailed me and told me that it's not possible to remove the dark areas. Also is it possible to remove the small white bumps under the eyes and the pink color on the bottom and upper eye lids and are these done in the same procedure with the same laser in removing the dark circles? Also, is it better to go to a plastic surgeon or a dermatologist to have this type of treatment done? While I'm on the subject of lasers, what's the best method to remove small raised moles on the face? I asked my dermatologist about this and he told me that he would have to cut the moles out and this would result in a small scar that would probably look worse than the mole. But can't the mole just be erased with the laser or is he right? Also what's the cost for removing moles from the face, what's the best laser to use for that procedure, and is it better to have it cut out or removed by laser?
